Abstract
Cet article présente une définition de la pédagogie actualisante, en décrit brièvement les bases conceptuelles et les principales sources d’influence et introduit chacun des huit volets qui sont développés plus amplement par les autres articles de cet ouvrage collectif. Il vise à démontrer que la pédagogie actualisante unit dans un rapport dialectique deux sources de socialisation souvent mises en opposition. Une vise la transmission du capital culturel de la société et l’autre le développement des capacités d’autonomie et de conscience critique des individus et des groupes. La pédagogie actualisante est décrite comme une mise en oeuvre d’un processus de socialisation / autonomisation qui vise la pleine réalisation du potentiel humain.
