Abstract
Postać Adama Chmielowskiego (świętego Brata Alberta) przez Jakuba A. Malika, a wcześniej Adolfa Nowaczyńskiego interpretowana był jako materializacja modelu „pozytywisty ewangelicznego”. Termin ten, ukuty przez Adama Grzymałę-Siedleckiego na potrzeby studium o Bolesławie Prusie, stał się nie tylko pojęciem, które w literaturoznawstwie wielokrotnie posłużyło za formułę określającą stosunek pozytywistów do kwestii religii, ale również okazało się węzłem zainteresowań badawczych Malika, węzłem łączącym go w szeroko rozumianej perspektywie humanistycznej ze Stanisławem Fitą i autorem Lalki.
