Abstract

O sono é uma condição fisiológica da atividade cerebral dos humanos, em que ocorre alterações de mobilidade, motricidade e também no estado de consciência. Desta maneira, fez-se uma revisão sistemática de artigos sobre os distúrbios do sono, principalmente, focada na atenção primária em saúde. Os assuntos abordados foram insônia, distúrbios respiratórios do sono, parassonia, tanto a Rapid Eye Movement (REM) quanto a não REM (NREM), hipersonia/narcolepsia e distúrbios sono-vigília do ritmo circadiano. Assim, a revisão fornece características gerais das patologias, a busca diagnóstica e terapêutica das mesmas, com intuito não só de auxiliar os médicos da atenção primária no rastreio e intervenção adequada, mas também como parte da prática clínica ao ampliar o racicínio de diagnósticos diferenciais.
