O livro As artes de curar em um manuscrito jesuítico inédito do setecentos é fruto do trabalho de Eliane Cristina Deckmann Fleck e seus colaboradores, no âmbito do projeto “As ‘artes de curar’ em dois manuscritos jesuíticos inéditos do século XVIII”. O volume em questão constitui-se em duas partes distintas. Ocupando lugar central, está a transcrição de parte substancial da obra Paraguay Natural Ilustrado escrita pelo padre jesuíta José Sánchez Labrador, entre 1771 e 1776. Junto ao documento histórico transcrito encontra-se uma introdução, na forma de um longo artigo analítico. Esta resenha ocupar-se-á de ambos os elementos, abordando-os de forma crítica, tanto em seus aspectos formais como analíticos. Sendo assim, esta análise será composta de duas partes. [...]
