Tres son los aspectos que reavivan la sinodalidad: en primer lugar, la escucha, es decir, la sensibilidad y la apertura a las opiniones de los otros; escuchar es tanto más importante cuanto más se asciende en la jerarquía. El segundo aspecto es la corresponsabilidad, porque el caminar juntos no puede acaecer sin la corrección fraterna que purifica a la Iglesia de los errores y la hace avanzar. El tercer aspecto es la participación de los laicos que, como miembros de pleno derecho de la Iglesia, están llamados a expresarse y a hacer sugerencias. No solo deben ser acogidos, también deber ser escuchados. Este es el rumbo marcado por el Concilio Vaticano II, pero todavía poco seguido.
