Abstract
La rumeur dont il sera question dans cet article prend son origine dans un édit sur l’interdiction du jeu qui est donc lu à haute voix au carrefour des rues mais qui se voit acheminé sur la scène. Florent Dancourt se nourrit souvent ainsi de l’actualité de la Ville pour produire à haute fréquence ses dancourades. Dans la Désolation des joueuses, l’édit, pris comme une rumeur, puis comme une nouvelle, fait grand bruit et fait défiler une population bigarrée de joueurs. Avant de passer à l’étude de la pièce, l’article commence par une description théorique de la rumeur.
