Abstract
Desde las primeras cuatro Conferencias de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) sobre la Mujer (1975Mujer ( -1995)), la igualdad de género y el empoderamiento de las mujeres han sido reconocidas como el resultado de un marco normativo global multifacético, respaldado por una arquitectura institucional centrada en la ONU.Desde la década de 1980, las feministas tanto del Norte como del Sur han luchado para que la salud sexual y los derechos reproductivos sean un componente central de ese marco normativo.Un análisis de esas luchas pone de relieve las alianzas complejas que han forjado, los oponentes que han enfrentado y los entendimientos más ricos que emergen a medida que las nuevas generaciones ganan voz.
