Les élèves présentant des difficultés comportementales sont généralement perçu⋅e⋅s comme plus difficiles à scolariser en classe ordinaire. À l’aide du modèle de causalité triadique réciproque, cet article présente les résultats d’une recherche visant à décrire l’influence des pratiques de gestion de classe sur l’expérience scolaire de ces élèves et à documenter les enjeux liés à leur scolarisation en classe ordinaire. Les entrevues menées auprès de quatorze élèves présentant des difficultés comportementales scolarisé⋅e⋅s en classe d’adaptation scolaire au secondaire révèlent que la manière dont les enseignant⋅e⋅s gèrent la classe influence significativement leur expérience scolaire. De nombreux leviers susceptibles de favoriser leur réintégration au secteur régulier ont aussi été identifiés.
