Abstract
Le milieu communautaire québécois est un acteur social important au sein de la société québécoise. Depuis plus de cinquante années, les organismes communautaires se sont multipliés et sont engagés aujourd’hui dans plusieurs sphères d’activités. Des comités de citoyens issus des milieux urbains populaires au début des années 1960 aux organismes d’action communautaire autonomes d’aujourd’hui, il y a toujours eu des préoccupations, théoriques et pratiques, autour de la question de la co-habitation des intérêts entre les salariés/professionnels et les citoyens et du rapport qui se développe dans le cadre des actions menées. Le présent article esquisse une trajectoire de l’évolution de ces rapports. Nous démontrons comment la salarisation/professionnalisation du milieu communautaire comporte des avantages mais également des enjeux dans le contexte social actuel.
