Abstract
La figure de l’écrivain engagé a décliné en France depuis la fin des années 1970, du fait d’une conjonction de facteurs. Néanmoins, s’observe actuellement un phénomène de repolitisation, sous deux formes : d’une part, avec les festivals et résidences d’écrivains, de nouveaux espaces d’intervention dans la cité s’ouvrent aux écrivaines, inaugurant une forme que l’on peut dire hybride en ce que les deux modes d’engagement, par les œuvres et par les prises de position, sont susceptibles de s’y rejoindre ; d’autre part, la littérature à thèse a fait place à un travail de dévoilement de la violence symbolique. Revenir sur les deux dimensions de l’engagement permettra de sonder ces transformations.
