Abstract
Latar Belakang :Nata de tuberosum ialah makanan fermentasi yang dibuat dari kentang.Kentang merupakan tanaman umbi yang kaya akan karbohidrat yang dapat dijadikan bahan pembuatan nata. Kandungan selulosa dalam nata yang diproduksi oleh bakteri Acetobacter xylinum dapat diisolasi menjadi selulosa mikrokristalin. SM banyak digunakan dalam bidang farmasi sebagai eksipien tablet. Metode: Isolasi dilakukan dengan cara hidrolisis α selulosa dengan HCl 2,5N. Selulosa mikrokristalin yang didapat dibandingkan dengan avicel PH 102. Tablet dibuat dengan metode kempa langsung.Hasil : Hasil uji organoleptis serbuk berwarna putih kecoklatan, tidak berbau dan tidak berasa. Uji identifikasi berwarna biru-violet, uji pati negatif, nilai susut pengeringan 4,80%, pH 6,84, laju alir 11,81 g/dtk, sudut diam : 39,19o , kompresibilitas 14,95%, kelarutan 0,13% dan kadar air 4,98%. Hasil uji FTIR dari nata de tuberosum mirip dengan Avicel PH 102. Hasil uji SEM pada SMNDT menyerupai Avicel pH 102 . Uji XRD menunjukkan puncak-puncak yang mirip dengan avicel pH 102. Hasil evaluasi tablet uji disolusi pada menit ke-45 82,15%, waktu hancur 1 menit 26 detik, keseragaman bobot 205 mg, keseragaman ukuran d= 0,80 cm dan t=0,31 cm, kekerasan tablet 4,8 kg dan friabilitas 0,42%.Kesimpulan : Hasil evaluasi karakteristik SMNDT mirip dengan avicel pH 102. Evaluasi tablet memiliki kemiripan dengan tablet Avicel pH 102
