Performance Investigation of Organic Rankine Cycle-or Photovoltaic-Solar Assisted Heat Pump Based Micro-Trigeneration System for Canadian Climatic Applications
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Due to substantial amounts of energy required for heating and cooling (>80%) in residential areas of many countries, there is now demand for higher efficiency in energy systems for heating, cooling, and power generation. This paper presents a particularly important integration of an organic Rankine cycle (ORC) system in a parallel arrangement with a solar-assisted heat pump (SAHP). A dynamic simulation model has been developed in TRNSYS program to simulate performance of the micro-trigeneration system for cooling, heating and power generation. The feasibility of this combined system as well as its comparison with a photovoltaic (PV) system in parallel with an SAHP with flat-plate collectors are investigated for use in residential applications in Ottawa, Canada. Simulation results indicate that both systems are feasible solutions for trigeneration applications. In particular, the proposed ORC-SAHP system can effectively replace the PV counterpart system in terms of power generation performance, demonstrating that the addition of an ORC to an SAHP to provide heating, cooling and power has definite advantages that could be harnessed by the end-user.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
