Dans cet ouvrage issu de son travail de thèse de doctorat en études romanes à l'Université Heinrich Heine de Düsseldorf, Eva Mona Altmann livre une analyse riche et détaillée des procédés discursifs des « bourreaux » (Tätern)nazis dans la littérature portant sur le thème de la Shoah et du nazisme.Désignée en allemand par le terme de « Holocaust-Literatur », ce courant désigne la littérature (quelle qu'elle soit) qui se donne pour objectif d'aborder les événements, les expériences et les conséquences de la Shoah.L'autrice se concentre ici spécifiquement sur la littératurefictionnellerelative à la Shoah, et la place accordée au point de vue des criminels nazis.
