Abstract
Teaching Objectives/Student Learning Outcomes: To introduce core sociological vocabulary. I often tell the students that they will eventually develop their own favorite sociological concept and that this one is mine. To help students understand that human free agency takes place in a context of social structures. Many people take actions and are judged on their choices when other avenues were not necessarily open to them.
