Abstract
En 1965, Ricœur publie un texte important : « Les Taches de l’éducateur politique ». Il y définit les axes d’un travail intellectuel de médiation, comme les revues issues de la société civile peuvent le développer. Mais il s’applique à lui-même ce programme, et s’efforce de le conduire avec rigueur dans les contributions qu’il donnera à de très nombreuses revues. Trois exemples paraissent emblématiques de son mode d’intervention : 1. la manière dont il reprend la distinction arendtienne entre pouvoir et domination, dans un entretien à la revue Politis sur les enjeux du politique (et sur le bicentenaire de Révolution Française) ; 2. dans un entretien dans la revue Écologie politique , sa vision de la question écologique et la possibilité d’une écologie politique, en critiquant au passage la notion de contrat naturel ; 3. dans un numéro de Diogène , consacré à la tolérance, il explicite cette notion, e n r appelle les diverses étapes de sa construction, et souligne la nécessité d’une heuristique de l’indignation contre l’intolérable pour échapper aux dangers d’une tolérance réduite à l’indifférence.
