Abstract
Depuis quelques années, la péréquation fait la manchette au Canada. Tel que suggéré ici, la raison pour laquelle la question de la péréquation a été inscrite à l’agenda politique est liée en grande partie aux efforts de cadrage idéologique du gouvernement albertain, qui mobilise cette question comme arme politique contre Ottawa et le Québec dans les débats sur la construction de pipelines. L’argument formulé souligne la façon dont le premier ministre conservateur de l’Alberta Jason Kenney inscrit cette question à l’agenda politique et prévoit organiser un référendum sur la péréquation dans le but d’augmenter la pression sur Ottawa et les autres provinces dans les dossiers énergétiques.
