Статья посвящена предварительной публикации оборонительных сооружений архаического времени. Они были обнаружены в Фанагории в процессе археологических исследований на территории исторического ядра города. Городские стены были построены вскоре после основания апойкии (530–520-е гг. до н. э.) и погибли в результате пожара на рубеже первой и второй четвертей V в. до н. э. The paper is a preliminary publication of Archaic period fortifications. They were discovered in Phanagoria during archaeological excavations in the historical core of the city. The city walls were built soon after the apoikia had been founded (530–520-s Bc) and were destroyed by fire at the turn of the second quarter of the 5th century Bc.
