Abstract

Alterstice propose, depuis 10 ans maintenant, un espace inédit de production scientifique répondant à des questions socialement vives liées à la prise en compte de la diversité inter-individuelle, sociale et sociétale. Le présent numéro thématique est lié à la création en 2017 d’un axe thématique au sein de l’Association internationale pour la recherche interculturelle (ARIC). Ce réseau a permis à des chercheurs et chercheuses d’organiser des symposiums interrogeant le handicap, l’intersectionnalité et les manières dont les travaux menés dans les courants plus mainstream prennent en compte ou non la dimension interculturelle pour étudier le changement de paradigme du handicap. Quinze ans après le lancement de la Convention internationale des droits des personnes handicapées (CDPH), qui marque une volonté sociétale de renouvellement du vivre-ensemble au niveau international ainsi qu’au niveau national pour les pays l’ayant ratifiée, que révèlent les travaux scientifiques menés dans une perspective interculturelle ? Après une introduction des notions de situation de handicap et interculturalité qui renvoient également à des processus de désignation, qui peuvent ou non être croisés et confrontés dans l’analyse scientifique, sont présentées les contributions réunies dans ce numéro. Dans une perspective pluridisciplinaire, différents angles relatifs à la diversité des représentations du handicap et aux enjeux qu’elle soulève dans les situations de contacts entre cultures sont abordés.
