L’auteur de cet ouvrage est wolof et il maîtrise parfaitement les cultures wolofiennes. Grands et élancés, les Wolofs sont des peuples de l’oralité, ils représentent 27 % de la population sénégalaise et ils sont musulmans à 90 %.
