Cet article aborde le vieillissement en tant que rencontre avec un lieu précis dans le contexte de quatre pièces de Joan MacLeod : Amigo’s Blue Guitar, 2000, Another Home Invasion et Homechild. Dans ces pièces, MacLeod crée une série de personnages féminins dont l’expérience d’être « chez soi » finit par les isoler de leur environnement. Ces femmes découvrent que leur expérience du vieillissement est liée à un lieu physique précis qui s’investit d’un nouveau sens à mesure qu’elles y prennent de l’âge.
