Abstract
L’élaboration de projets sportifs locaux dans les collectivités, aujourd’hui répandue, correspond à la volonté de faire évoluer les cadres de l’action publique. S’appuyant sur la philosophie de la démocratie participative, ces projets ont pour ambition de tendre vers davantage d’adaptation aux attentes sociales en matière sportive. À travers le cas particulier de la ville de Brest (France), où cette intention s’est concrétisée depuis 2010 par la construction d’un projet sportif territorial, nous nous interrogeons sur les ressorts de ces dispositifs. Nous montrons notamment que l’inscription dans une telle démarche apparaît comme un processus ambivalent mais néanmoins structurant pour l’écosystème sportif local.
