Abstract
El intento de clasificar las formas y los modos del protagonismo femenino en el teatro de Lope es una tarea titánica, dada la inmensidad de su corpus dramático y la gran variedad de temas y subgéneros que pudo desarrollar en su larga trayectoria artística. Propongo aquí algunas consideraciones en torno al tema de las competencias culturales expresamente poéticas de los personajes femeninos en las obras dramáticas del Fénix, para seguir el rastro de este rumor de las diferencias que los estudiosos estamos acostumbrados a percibir bajo varias formas en la obra del Fénix y en general en el teatro del Siglo de Oro.
