Sebuah penafsiran yang benar adalah penafsiran yang sesuai dengan kaidah-kaidah penafsiran Al-Qur’an. Syarat untuk menjadi sebuah penafsir tidaklah berdasarkan kecerdasan menganalisis sebuah teks, namun lebih kepada penguasaan keilmuan agama sebagai dasar dari pemahaman Al-Qur’an yang cakupannya luas, serta hasil dari penafsirannya yang memunculkan hukum sesuai dengan yang dimaksud Allah di dalam Al-Qur’an. Diskursus hermeneutika menjadi sebuah masalah serius dalam dunia tafsir Al-Qur’an, hermeneutika memberikan sebuah pemahaman yang menyimpang terhadap suatu ayat Al-Qur’an, hukum-hukum yang dihasilkan menuai banyak kontroversi dari beberapa kalangan, penafsiran dengan teori hermeneutika menyelisihi dengan kaidah tafsir klasik atau konvensional yang telah mapan dan baku sebagai sebuah teori terhadap penggalian makna serta maksud dari ayat Al-Qur’an. Beberapa tanggapan ataupun kritikan terkait kontroversi teori hermeneutika ini sudah menjamur, menurut ulama salaf bahwa kaum hermeneutika mencoba menafsirkan ayat Al-Qur’an secara keseluruhan, maksudnya semua ayat Al-Qur’an dapat ditafsirkan, yakni ayat-ayat Qath’i baik ayat Mutasabihat maupun ayat Muhkamat, yang sifat ayat-ayat tersebut ketentuannya sudah tetap.
