Comment s’identifier de nos jours à une culture unique quand, pendant des générations, la fusion de différents peuples a été le déroulement de la croissance d’une population? Un article de Simon Villeneuve sert de base à l’étude complexe sur les Métis du Québec et à leur statut au sein de la loi canadienne. Il est pertinent d’envisager la diffusion de l’image métisse à travers l’éducation. 
 L’un des conférencier et auteur de plus de soixante-dix ouvrages consacrés à la culture métisse au Canada, David Bouchard, a eu la gentillesse de partager sa vision de ce que signifie être Métis et comment diffuser et enseigner la culture autochtone.
