In order to develop Canada M tight sandstone reservoir economically and efficiently, technical studies and innovations have been carried out. The studies include development layers subdivision with the integrate of geology and engineer; Machine learning technology data analysis to optimize drilling and completion parameters tailored for reservoir; Long reach horizontal drilling and completion technology; Delayed flow back and pad development technology. These technologies have increased drilling and completion efficiency and decreased the development cost. This has ensured the economic development of M reservoir. The gas production has reached 730×108m3/year. The successful development of M reservoir has provided enlightens for the unconventional reservoir development in China.
