Abstract
La notion de mémoire en psychanalyse en est une complexe et demeure mal comprise. Cet article propose d’appréhender le concept à partir d’un angle nouveau. Cette étude repose sur l’exploration de la notion de mémoire dans l’oeuvre de Freud, exploration qui est enrichie de diverses illustrations cliniques. Une distinction entre mémoire et réminiscence est opérée et explicitée. Le texte se conclut par une discussion sur les rapports complexes qu’entretiennent mémoire et vérité et sur leurs incidences potentielles sur la façon de conceptualiser les aspects technique et thérapeutique de la psychanalyse et des psychothérapies d’orientation psychanalytique en général.
