A festa como patrimônio cultural: o carnaval popular em Campina Grande

Abstract
O presente artigo tem por finalidade a analise sobre a festa carnavalesca na cidade de Campina Grande no periodo de 1950-1990, momento historico no qual os moradores dos bairros populares passam a ser participantes e produtores dessa manifestacao cultural, tendo como exemplo a Escola de Samba Unidos da Liberdade do bairro da Liberdade. As narrativas analisadas demostram como os moradores segregados vivem uma luta permanente para conquistar o direto de uso a cidade, por meio de muitas formas de resistencia e de suas artes de fazer. Para nortear a analise, Souza (2002) Silva (1999) Portela (2013) Santos (2008) contribuem para a leitura do texto cidade que revela essas tramas de resistencia. Atraves de fotografias, de analise de depoimentos dos moradores populares e das elites, a pesquisa mostrou que o Carnaval que foi sepultado foi o das elites e que o Carnaval Popular com seus desfiles das escolas de samba nunca morreu, tendo em vista que as comunidades perifericas lutam pela preservacao desse patrimonio cultural imaterial, com muita garra, unidade e criatividade.
