Abstract
El proposito de este articulo es analizar criticamente el modelo de Calgary a traves de la teoria de Jacques Donzelot sobre el gobierno familiar. Segun Donzelot, la familia esta instrumentalizada por el poder (para)medico y se convierte en un terreno fertil para las practicas de gobierno. De esta manera, se invita y «capacita» a la familia para que asuma un papel de auxiliar de enfermeria ademas del su papel de cuidador. El dispositivo (para)medico se impone en la intimidad de la familia, altera su funcionamiento y ejerce un tenue gobierno de conducta en ella. Sin embargo, la perspectiva teorica de Donzelot, por su caracter critico y politico, entra en conflicto con las representaciones habituales de la enfermeria familiar.
