The article presents an archeographic and text analyses of the document which is entitled The Register of Rarities Passed from the Museum of Former State Admiralty Department on to the Imperial Academy of Sciences, and which served as a consignment note for the collections of Russian seafarers of the first quarter of the nineteenth century, that were transferredto Kunstkamera in 1828. The author discusses marks that were made in the document by F.K. Russov who was the first custodian of the Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography, an inheritor of Kunstkamera's ethnographic collections.
