A frame that forgets how it found something cannot be audited. These are the routes that admitted this work.

Abstract
In the article, we, the authors, reported (1). differential gene expression and (2) RNA editing by five species of wood-decaying basidiomycetes. After publication, we discovered that the RNA editing results are artifactual, because we mapped RNAseq reads only to the assembled reference genome, rather than mapping both RNAseq reads and unassembled genomic DNA reads to the assembled reference genome. For this reason, we retract the article. A technical note describing the source of the artifact has been published in ISME Communications
