Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The present work follows research project presented in the context of the “Convocatoria Becas UBACyT 2019”, in the Estimulo” category, and is part of the project “Lecturas del psicoanalisis sobre ‘lo social’. Modos en que la teoria psicoanalitica tematiza algunas cuestiones sociales actuales” (2018-2020), under the direction of Clara Azaretto and Cecilia Ros. This project has the objective of making study on the readings that psychoanalysis performs about “the social”, as well as about what other disciplines take from psychoanalysis to read the selected social problematics, with the purpose of analysing the convergences and divergences that come from it. To do so, we take four axes that become representative, not totalizing, of the approach of the social phenomena of violence, politics, human rights and gender. The work presented here proposes to explore the origins and scopes of the concept that has been coined by Diana Rabinovich as “enjoyment (jouissance) of the truth” with the purpose of, following the line of study of the project of belonging, assessing its potentiality as an analyser in relation to two of the four axes that have been selected as representatives of “the social” on which the concept may have resonances. These are the social problematics of politics and violence, which highlight the particularities of the era that social ties go through, among them there is what Byung-Chul Han (2013) calls the hell of the same (44). To articulate and conceptualize these phenomena, developments of authors from other disciplinary fields, but that have their roots in psychoanalytic concepts, will be taken, such as the ideas of Slavoj Žižek (2009), Byung-Chul Han (2013; 2014), Christian Laval and Pierre Dardot (2013), among others. Likewise, as second objective, the project aims to address and contrast bibliographic material from other orientations, both from those within the field of psychology and from other disciplinary fields, in order to assess potential articulations and points of divergence. Diana Rabinovich, in Concepto de objeto en psicoanalisis: el objeto a (2006), refers to the concept of of the as follows: “Enjoying the truth implies that my truth assumes that value of surplus-jouissance that makes my difference and my enjoyment not compatible with those of any other, and so those other deserving to be destroyed” (9). In addition, the author establishes relation between this concept and the phenomenon of fanaticism and racism, where the violence is justified from the difference from the other. Establishing its scopes and limitations, it is assumed that this concept can be good analyser to read in psychoanalytical terms certain problems in the fields of politics and violence, as well as construct that permits dialogue with developments from orientations and disciplines outside the psychoanalytic field. Regarding the methodology to be used, it is an exploratory-descriptive design, based on bibliography, which involves the selection of various corpora depending on the objectives set. The analysis of the texts to be carried out is interpretative, through thematic and/or content analysis strategies. As it is grant project planned to begin in September of the current year, preliminary results are not yet available. Therefore, in this congress, we expect to show only results regarding the first specific objective: the precise demarcation of the theoretical foundations of the concept of “enjoyment of the truth” and the delimitation of its scope in relation to some of the problematizations that are identified in the framework-project around violence and politics.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
