Abstract
Os processos de cogestão ilustram algumas das características das relações atuais entre os povos indígenas e o Estado do Canadá. Este artigo discute o funcionamento de uma instituição de cogestão florestal entre a Nação Innu e o governo provincial de Terra Nova e Labrador, com base em dois exemplos: a perda de uma carpa comunitária e o manejo de uma infestação florestal. Esses exemplos mostram diferentes ideias de responsabilidade entre os participantes do processo de cogestão, e mostran suas limitações.
