Abstract
Déployant une approche féministe intersectionnelle et institutionnaliste, cet article documente et analyse la constitution récente de mobilisations intersectionnelles de femmes handicapées en Haïti, c’est-à-dire de mobilisations qui viennent politiser des expériences vécues façonnées à la fois par le genre et le capacitisme comme systèmes imbriqués de la domination sociale. Sur la base de documents et d’entretiens réalisés entre 2018 et 2020, les auteurs retracent les conditions d’émergence de ces nouvelles organisations de femmes handicapées, mettent en lumière les caractéristiques de leur plaidoyer et en analysent les effets à ce jour. Nous démontrons comment les rapports de pouvoir entre majoritaires et minoritaires viennent façonner l’activisme intersectionnel des femmes handicapées en Haïti autant que les résistances que celui-ci rencontre. Sont également mis au jour les facteurs associatifs et institutionnels locaux, nationaux et internationaux qui facilitent ou soutiennent, d’une part, ou contraignent et posent obstacle, d’autre part, aux demandes de reconnaissance et d’intervention en faveur des femmes handicapées faites auprès des institutions étatiques et des associations de la société civile, à la fois dans le secteur des personnes handicapées et dans l’espace du féminisme en Haïti.
