El articulo expone los conceptos de Comun, economia moral, reconocimiento y convivencialidad como cuatro terminos analiticos y politicos con los cuales se han debatido los supuestos del pensamiento unico utilitarista agrupados en la teoria de la modernizacion, a saber, la tragedia de los comunes, la necesidad de las racionalizaciones e innovaciones economicas, la maximizacion utilitaria del interes privado como base de las relaciones humanas y la promesa del progreso industrial. El trabajo se concentra en abonar a la reestructuracion de las ciencias sociales a traves de rehabilitar y ampliar el ejercicio teorico de estos conceptos, mas alla de lo realizado por Pierre Dardot y Christian Laval, E. P. Thompson, Axel Honneth e Ivan Illich.
