Les aspirations des immigrants pour l’entrepreneuriat de haute performance : une étude empirique

Abstract
Cette étude met en évidence l’influence du statut d’immigrant sur les aspirations à l’entrepreneuriat de haute performance, soit l’entrepreneuriat qui favorise un meilleur potentiel économique à long terme. À partir d’un échantillon de 14 679 entrepreneurs émergents du Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, nous montrons que le statut d’immigrant influence favorablement trois des quatre dimensions des aspirations entrepreneuriales de haute performance, soit l’aspiration à l’innovation de procédés, à la forte exportation et à la forte croissance de l’emploi. Ces résultats suggèrent que l’entrepreneur immigrant est un rouage potentiellement plus important que le natif dans les forces de l’entrepreneuriat schumpétérien.
