En el saber popular, la fotografia tiene en su haber una serie de pontencialidades maravillosas: que puede ser usada en conjuros magicos, que es capaz de robar el alma con tan solo accionar el clic... Afirmaciones todas que caben en el capitulo de las mitologias de la tecnica y que perviven en el mundo contemporaneo, aun en los ambitos mas militantes del pensamiento positivo. El libro, en que se ha basado este articulo, es resultado de una exhaustiva investigacion, propone una tesis: que en efecto el dispositivo fotografico reune caracteristicas que le permiten funcionar como herramienta del pensamiento magico. Un recorrido en el que se abordaran los procesos historicos, tecnicos, mediaticos y conceptuales en los que la fotografia ha tenido aplicacion desde su invencion hasta nuestros dias.
