Приводятся результаты промышленных испытаний опытного образца свободновихревого насоса, работающего на свекловодяной смеси. Анализируются экспериментальные данные о степени повреждения (дробления) транспортируемой сахарной свеклы, о влиянии на этот показатель элементов проточной части. На основании анализа экспериментального материала делается вывод об экономической нецелесообразности использования насосов свободновихревого типа для гидротранспорта такого продукта.
