Abstract

Les outils permettant de mieux comprendre le transfert des connaissances et la capacité à transférer, particulièrement dans un contexte de mathématiques et de sciences sont rares, voire non disponibles. Devant cet état de fait, nous avons élaboré nos propres instruments nous inspirant de travaux en psychologie cognitive. La perspective du traitement de l’information a servi de cadre de référence pour juger et analyser les capacités de transfert auprès d’élèves de 4e secondaire. La méthode de recherche choisie, de nature qualitative, est principalement axée sur l’évaluation de la capacité à transférer des connaissances lors d’une épreuve et d’un entretien. Afin d’évaluer ce potentiel de transfert, nous avons élaboré deux outils : une épreuve mathématico-scientifique et un guide d’entretien. Pour la passation de l’épreuve, nous avons pu compter sur la collaboration de 130 sujets provenant de deux écoles secondaires. L’entretien complète la prise de données avec 13 sujets ayant accepté la poursuite de l’étude. Les données recueillies par ces instruments font ensuite l’objet d’une analyse de contenu et d’une correction qualitative des problèmes. La correction des réponses fournies pour les problèmes résolus s’est faite à partir d’une grille d’analyse qualitative et adaptée de la littérature.
