Abstract
El Mediterraneo constituye un lugar de encuentro privilegiado para las llamadas «musicas del mundo», ya que las tradiciones musicales de los pueblos que lo habitan siempre han estado en contacto por razones historicas. En este sentido, el papel de las grandes religiones monoteistas ha resultado fundamental. Asi pues, en un marco tan proclive al dialogo entre civilizaciones, el Festival de Fez de Musicas Sagradas del Mundo representa un lugar de encuentro unico en el mundo arabomusulman que, poco a poco, se ha abierto a las grandes corrientes religiosas y espirituales del mundo para acoger a artistas de tradiciones muy diferentes, que pueden compartir y fusionar estilos, culturas y sensibilidades con el fin de convertir el festival en un «laboratorio» de experimentacion de vida en comun.
