Abstract
This richly illustrated catalogue documents temporary gardens designed by interdisciplinary artists and landscape architects from Quebec, Canada and elsewhere (including three designers from France, the ‘guest-country’ of the 2002 edition.) Following a brief philosophical and historical introduction on the role of gardens, the authors introduce nine projects and stress how they each examine the garden both as subject and object. Texts in French and English. Biographical notes on artists and organizers.
