Abstract
<title>Abstract</title> This chapter reviews published scientific literature on: (i) the nature of bacterial contamination of the food supply; (ii) the isolation of zoonotic bacteria-specific bacteriophages; and (iii) the use of bacteriophages against foodborne bacterial pathogens, with emphasis on treatment of farm animals (such as poultry, pigs, sheep and cattle), in food processing plants, and in ready-to-eat foods.
