Abstract
Abstract This article examines the future of community music. It offers an interdisciplinary perspective by considering emerging research in CM, as well as related literature from education, ethnomusicology, sociology, and media and communication studies. It examines issues such as demographics, notions of communitas, international trends, and new networks for collaboration.
