Abstract
El presente estudio trata de la identificacion de los grupos de danzas populares existentes en el Norte de Espirito Santo. La region posee un vasto campo cultural en el cual encontramos grupos de danzas de diferentes origenes, que son: Folia-de-Reis, Folia-de Bois, Congo y Ticumbi. El objeto del estudio se limito a catalogar los movimientos y expresiones corporales de esas danzas, teniendo la Folia-de-Reis como objeto especifico de analisis. En el proceso metodologico, utilizamos entrevistas abiertas con liderazgos de los grupos culturales y de observaciones etnograficas en dos grupos previamente elegidos. Identificamos en los grupos de Folia-de-Reis singularidades destacadas que permiten un estudio de los movimientos corporales presentados en sus expresiones.
