Abstract
El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las posibilidades y limitaciones del sector manufacturero como detonante de un crecimiento sostenido en el mediano plazo. Especificamente, se trata de mostrar que si bien la estrategia comercial, en especifico, y de politica economica, en general, seguida hasta ahora, han dado algunos resultados positivos, dicha estrategia ya esta agotada y se requiere un replanteamiento de la misma. El trabajo se encuentra estructurado de la siguiente manera: en la primera seccion se analizan diversos aspectos de la problematica del sector manufacturero, mientras que en la segunda se analizan los principales aspectos del comercio exterior del sector manufacturero, poniendo enfasis en las exportaciones del mismo. Al final, se presentan algunas conclusiones
