Abstract
Współczesne Żuławy to region wielokulturowy, na terenie którego mieszkają potomkowie osadników z całej Polski, a także ludność polska repatriowana z kresów wschodnich. Ostatnia fala osadnicza miała miejsce w roku 1947, kiedy przesiedlono ludność ukraińską w ramach Akcji „Wisła”. Na terenie powiatu gdańskiego osiedlono ludność przybyłą dwoma transportami, głównie z dwóch wiosek Uhrynów (pow. Hrubieszów) i Kornie (pow. Tomaszów Lubelski), było to ok. 900 osób (252 rodziny). Obecnie mniejszość ukraińska zamieszkuje w kilku skupiskach – w Ostaszewie, Marzęcinie, Stegnie i Jantarze i liczy ok. 115 rodzin. Skupieni są wokół parafii greckokatolickiej pw. Św. Mikołaja w Cyganku – Żelichowie. W przedsionku kościoła znajduje się pamiątkowa tablica, ufundowana w 50 rocznice przesiedlenia ludności na tereny Żuław, na której wymienione są miejscowości, z których wysiedlono mieszkańców, są to: Kornie, Uhrynów, Mosty Małe, Hrebenne, Tenetyska. W tekście prezentowane są wyniki badan pilotażowych prowadzonych w lipcu 2008 roku na terenie dwóch wsi: Marzęcino i Stegna, gdzie zamieszkują Ukraińcy. Wywiady prowadzone były metodą autobiograficzną, a ich celem była rekonstrukcja losów poszczególnych rodzin od momentu wysiedlenia z rodzinnej wsi, aż po przybycie na teren Żuław.
