Les travaux de Paul Ricœur ont profondément influencé la recherche dans le cadre des études littéraires. Je voudrais montrer qu’ils ont également bouleversé la recherche en didactique de la littérature. Ainsi, le programme « La fabrique du lecteur/spectateur/auditeur face au processus de création » du laboratoire LLA-Créatis (Création, Recherche, Émergence, en Arts, Textes, Images, Spectacles) de l’Université Toulouse-Le Mirail développe depuis plusieurs années un certain nombre de notions, sinon purement et simplement empruntées à Paul Ricœur, du moins très influencées par lui, en particulier par son ouvrage Temps et récit. Rappelons brièvement les colloques et journées d’étude qui, à Rennes, Grenoble, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Québec ou Trois-Rivières, visaient à théoriser d’un point de vue didactique des concepts tels que l’identité narrative du sujet lecteur, l’activité fictionnalisante du lecteur, les événements de lecture et le texte du lecteur, tous ces concepts dérivant de manière plus ou moins directe de la pensée philosophique et critique de Paul Ricœur. Une telle filiation, de la philosophie et de l’herméneutique à l’école, peut paraître étonnante, mais elle est réelle et explicitement envisagée comme telle par un certain nombre de didacticiens de la littérature.
