Abstract
L'essentiel des traductions au Canada s'effectue de l'anglais vers le francais. L'A. s'interesse tout d'abord a la place de la langue francaise au Canada, qui est devenue langue officielle du Quebec en 1977 et qui n'a eu de cesse d'evoluer et de se normaliser. Face a cet ancrage progressif de la langue francaise, l'A. fait un bilan du marche de la traduction et de la formation offerte par l'universite de Montreal. Il s'arrete plus particulierement sur le DESS et la maitrise professionnelle puis sur les differentes activites et domaines de recherche.
