Abstract
Se presentan los datos con los que se cuenta hasta ahora de los procesos ocurridos en la epoca prehispanica en el sur de Sinaloa. Para ello se divide la ocupacion en tres etapas: la primera abarca del 300 al 750 d. C., la segunda del 750 al 1200 d. C. y la ultima de aqui a la llegada de los espanoles. De cada una de ellas se refieren las caracteristicas de sus utensilios, las actividades de subsistencia, la situacion politica y las relaciones con otras regiones.
