Abstract
<span>Sergio García Ávila expone un caso de desintegración de comunidades indígenas debido a la repartición de tierras promovida por la Ley Desamortizadora de 1856, la cual constituyó la secuela de dos reformas fallidas (1828 y 1851). Explica el caso de la ciudad de Morelia, en la que, a partir de la división de la propiedad comunal, los indígenas fueron despojados de sus tierras y, por consecuencia, sus comunidades fueron disgregadas. Refiere los artículos más importantes de los reglamentos de 1828 y 1851 así como de la Ley Desamortizadora</span>
