Abstract
Par ses caracteristiques, l'agence policiere s'apparente a une organisation bureaucratique qui doit proceder a l'allocation de ses ressources afin de satisfaire ses commanditaires. Nous appliquons les outils de l'analyse economique au cas particulier de la police routiere de Nouvelle-Galles du Sud (NCS). Cette contribution traite plus particulierement de la gestion heterogene d'une juridiction et des modalites d'ajustement dont dispose l'organisation, et dans lesquelles un processus de rationalisation economique semble etre a l'oeuvre. En premier lieu, l'approche theorique permet de cerner les consequences attendues d'une heterogeneite de la zone d'intervention pour l'allocation des ressources. Cette elaboration theorique constitue le cadre d'analyse par lequel les ajustements de l'organisation policiere de NGS dans ses missions de police routiere face a une environnement evolutif seront interpretes.
